Overview

Throughout Legend of Queen Opala 1 and 2, certain collectible items have influenced gameplay and unlocked content. In LOQO 2, three types of items are considered in this regard: Ancient Pages, which give detailed information about one monster's stats, location, class and drop items; Golden Old Coins, which unlock Red Chests that contain Illustrations; and Tablets of History, which unlock pages of the CGI gallery.

Ancient Pages

Ancient Pages are the scattered pages of an ancient wanderer's diary, which detail his journey across Namaria and contain information about all common classes of monsters. this is especially helpful in finding drop items for forging, as well as locating the enemies necessary to kill to summon their respective Legendary Monster.

Golden Old Coins

Golden Old Coins are used to unlock special Red Chests scattered across Namaria; generally, the chests take 2 or 3 coins to open. Each red chest contains an Illustration. The chests containing Golden Old Coins, however, require the Cape of Truth to see.

 

Tablets of History

Tablets of History in the Legend of Queen Opala series have differed in their uses between the games. While in the first game, they served as a point system for a hint-dispensing Seer, in The Legend of Queen Opala 2 they serve as a counter to the special CGI gallery; when a certain number is reached, a new page of the CGI gallery is unlocked. Chests containing Tablets of History, however, require the Cape of Truth to see. After finding your first Tablet, every 5 more you find will unlock a page of the CGI gallery. In other words, 6 Tablets unlocks page 1, 11 unlocks page 2, 16 unlocks page 3, etc. Collecting all 46 will unlock all 9 pages.
