Rockgard Village
Overview
Rockgard Village is a small town located in the mountains of Southeast Namaria, and North of Greystone Ruins. Rockgard is home to a slave outpost, which is overseen by Hawk the Warden and where Farah is first held captive. A house in Rockgard( the first one you see walking in) holds the important item "Novice Lockpick".
History & Current Role
Rockgard is a center for slave trading and other seedy business and thugs. It stands as a village either completely avoided by travelers, or embraced and frequented by thieves, mercenaries, and slave traders.
Notable Characters
Bal'Rana
Female pirate captain first encountered by Jake in LOQO 1, she has managed to find herself in Namiria, likely after being caught in a Shadow Spike. She first encounters Kai in Rockgard Tavern where she becomes flirtatious in a way that's on par with Lady Farah. Her daughter, Za'Nina becomes frustrated with her, and convinces her to continue her search for a new ship.
Hawk the Warden
Former member of the Blackeagle gang and acquaintance of Kai and Milana, Hawk oversees and operates Rockgard's slave outpost. He is visited by Kai and Milana during their efforts to locate Opala's mother, and permits them to view the slaves he is holding, despite Milana's contempt for what he's become. He cannot be visited after Farah's rescue.
Lady Farah
Mother of Queen Opala, Mistress Osira, and Nehas the Horse, and wife of the late Pharaoh of Egypt. Farah is transported to Namiria, along with her daughters and others from Egypt, via Shadow Spikes. Farah is captured and held in the slave outpost where she is ogled by potential buyers and slaves. She becomes a background member of Kai's party after rescue.
Za'Nina
Female pirate and daughter of Bal'Rana, she is very protective of her mother/captain. Originally encountered in battle by Jake in LOQO 1, she ends up in Rockgard with her mother, likely transported by a Shadow Spike. Despite her loyalty, she still becomes irritated with her mother whenever she becomes flirtatious with men, needing to remind her of more pressing issues.
Minor Characters
- Shady Warrior - Western area of northeast Rockgard, offers a heist job to Kai.
- Observing Male - Standing perilously close to a cliff in northeast Rockgard.
- Concerned Man - Standing in front of the Inn, had his wallet stolen by local thugs.
- Thug Leader - Near Weapon shop, has the quest item "Stolen Wallet" on him.
- Chubby Customer - Lower level of the Slave Outpost, planning on purchasing Farah for himself and his goat.
