Jake
Overview
Jake is the main character of Legend of Queen Opala. He is the only playable character that can be renamed and is considered the player character, as he is the only character that interacts with NPCs and he doesn't have to be hired for money.
Legend of Queen Opala
At the start of Legend of Queen Opala, Jake arrives in Egypt on the Boat of a very rude sailor, looking to make a name for himself because he heard rumors about the royal family.

Note: In the Evil Path, Jake can learn the elemental spells Water, Earth, Wind, and Fire if he goes against Osira's orders and absorbs the powers of the Gatekeepers.
Legend of Queen Opala 2
Jake is mentioned in passing by Opala during the escape from Altum as well as being referenced in one of the Traveling Scholar's quizzes. In each case he is simply referred to as the "Hero of Egypt". Opala and others state that he disappeared without an excuse or trace, sometime immediately prior to Opala's arrival in Namaria.
Crystal Sanctum
If the player reaches a game completion score of 85% or higher. Jake and two of his companions, Tirah and Sephira, will show up at the Crystal Sanctum. Jake explains that he met an "absolutely gorgeous anthro called Melody" and left Egypt to go find her. This infuriates Kai and begins a battle between the two heroes.
