Zhu'Yen
Overview
Zhu'Yen is a possible party member in Legend of Queen Opala 2. He is the party's healer, and is the father of Gin'Yen. A retired priest, Zhu'Yen is a neighbor of the Hero, and the two will often rely on each other to survive both the wilderness and Lord Kross' extortion tactics. When a Shadow Spike strikes the Hills of Sanctus, Zhu'Yen immediately offers to accompany the hero to investigate. If allowed to join right away, he will sacrifice his life, slowing Altum down so that both Opala and the Hero can escape (if you take his equipment beforehand, it can be sold for a little extra money). If he is initially refused membership to the party (in which case he will give a Ring of Agility instead), he can later be recruited by visiting him in his shack.
Legend of Queen Opala 2
Zhu'Yen is found by the Hero] just east of the start of LOQO2, in the Hills of Sanctus. If he joins the party, Zhu'Yen will start at level 2 as the party's Healer. As of The Legend of Queen Opala 2, Episode 1, his presence in the party is incompatible with Gin'Yen; if Zhu'Yen does not die in the Hills of Sanctus, Gin'Yen feels no need for revenge and therefore does not leave his studies in Grand Aideen.
Allowing Zhu'Yen to join your party will also unlock the achievement "Out of Retirement." If he dies facing Altum at the beginning of the game, the achievement "Tragic Choice" will also unlock.
Skills/Spells
Zhu'Yen's skills are primarily curative oriented spells. As such, he is best as a support character, allowing his teammates to fight off any enemies while he heals. His spells are also available to use outside of battle, allowing him to cure party members without the use of items.

Equipment
Equipping the various party members with upgraded equipment allows the characters to survive for longer and deal more damage. Therefore, knowing the types of equipment each character can use is important. Each character also has an elemental theme, allowing elemental upgrades to their equipment. Below are the types that are compatible with Zhu'Yen.
