Lord Kross
Overview
Lord Kross is the ruler of Castle Resteed and a follower of Osira in LOQO II.
A vastly wealthy man, due on part to the high taxation he enforces over his subjects. He rules over most of the south eastern region of Namaria and corruption is widespread, he allows the Blackeagle Gang to do as they please and profits greatly. While he serves Osira, he despises her and how she talks down to him. Together with Rudgart and his alchemist Melforas he has plans for greater power.
LOQO II Ep I
Lord Kross is first seen when Kai and Opala first enter Castle Resteed, giving a moral speech to his subjects justifying the rises in taxes.
Because of Milana's outburst, he notices Kai and Opala and will order them to be arrested. Depending on the player's choice, Kai and his friends will either be imprisoned and then escape his mansion or resist arrest and escape to Milana's house.
Lord Kross is seen again in a cutscene as Kai enters the Breeze Woods. Here he meets Osira and explains how Opala escaped his clutches. While Osira will be displeased with Kross' failure, she remarks that she will simply sent Valencio the Assassin to capture Opala.
Lord Kross will offer his full support and troops, but Osira will turn him down and further mock Kross for his love of wealth.
After Orisa leaves, Kross becomes enraged and vows to make Orisa pay.
Kross is seen again when Kai and his friends reach the Blackeagle Fortress in search of the Boots of Nabonaga. He is busy ordering troop to secure the boots and prepare them to be transported. His alchemist Melforas is present and will mention a device he is working on that will render Osira powerless. Kross will then take his leave along with Melforas and leave Richter the Mercenary to guard the boots.
LOQO II Ep II
Lord Kross makes his appearance at the very outset of Ep II in a cutscene, along with Rudgart and Osira on a ship to the Frozen Continent. Here Kross reveals his power draining device and his plans to over throw Osira. Together with Rudgart he proceeds to assault Osira.
Kross and his minions are encountered by Kai in the Lair of Nabonaga, in the presence of Nabonaga himself. Kross' plan to take the Sword of Nabonaga fails as the dragon has no interest in letting a mortal take the artifact. Kross and his followers quickly flee in fear of the raging dragon. Kai will encouter Kross as he makes his escape and battle him. Defeated, Kross manages to escape and his not seen again in LOQOII EPII.
