Overview
The following is a compilation of information about the Legend of Queen Opala Origin shopping opportunities and forging system.
Forging
Forging is a process introduced near the end of LOQO 1 and heavily expanded upon in LOQO 2 by which materials collected by the player can be combined, for a price, at a forge to create weapons and armor that generally exceed the properties of that which is available for direct purchase at a particular point in the game. LOQO Origin keeps many of the aspects of forging from LOQO 2, with a few new additions.
Materials
Forging requires players to have certain materials. Materials that can't be purchased are usually either dropped by Enemies or Mined in caves, please refer to those pages to find where materials are located.
Materials can also be obtained by dismantling existing weapons and armor. Blacksmiths who forge items can also dismantle them. The same forging recipe applies in reverse (e.g. if you dismantle Bronze Blades, you will receive 4x Bronze and 1x Simple Weapon). The cost to dismantle an item is the same as the cost to forge it.
Stores
As the most common way for the hero to acquire a majority of items, weapons, and armor, stores (be they physical shops or peddlers out in the wild) are found in most villages as well as the occasional dungeon or ruin. Stores generally deal in the exchange of goods for gold, whether through buying or selling, and have varying inventories based upon their location in (generally increasing in quality as the hero progresses further from where his adventure begins) as well as the passage of time or events that occur in the world.
This section will list all the items available for purchase with gold at shops in the Legend of Queen Opala Origin. This list is organized by shop location and includes forging information.
Shop Buildings can be identified by their signs:
Colussia
Colussia has two big stores: the Twin Trades for potions and other items and the Enchanted Armory which sells armor and weapons. It seems the darkened skies cause shopkeepers to lose track of time, since these shops are open day and night!
