Old Images

Where can we find the uploaded images?

Add sidebar section for utilities

Would it be worth adding a Utilities heading for both SGEdit and Adventurer's Aid to fall under? Otherwise I'll just use a utility category

Import complete

Finally got the last page copied over from the old wiki.  The Shopping & Forging pages were a nightmare, but they're all set now.  There's still the "Adventurer's Aid" thing.  Should we import that?  Did anyone use it?  I didn't so I'm not familiar with it. From what I have seen, there has not been much (none really) feedback on this program. I do have V2.0 done which fixed a few issues. If it "dies" with the old site, I can live with that... (DarkLizerd)

Policy

I'm unsure why the new wiki still prohibits NSFW images; I understand that we don't want it to be a porn dump- of course- but it might be convenient to allow NSFW images when they contribute to the article in that particular circumstance (for example, showing the uncensored title screen for a game on that game's page). The question, of course, is how you determine when it's appropriate. Omegasome (talk) 18:41, 6 June 2018 (CDT)

It's mostly because we've been operating that way for years now and have done very well. Another reason is respect for the artists. Even if we allow NSFW images, I do not want to allow uploading images from the game's art library. And third, I don't want to have to put "You must be over 18 to be here" all over the site to cover us legally. Personally, I am also a bit concerned about this becoming a porn dump as you say, since we don't exactly have full time staff policing things. All that said, we can certainly be looser than before, since we're not actually prohibited by TOS. If something is really key to an article, but has nipples in it, then i guess it's fine. Scope

What is the scope of this wiki? Is it limited to only to content directly from the games, or is canonical (or deuterocanonical) content such as Sparrow's various Swegabe Sketches (commissioned by SweGabe himself) also included? Omegasome (talk) 18:44, 6 June 2018 (CDT)

Outside content that's at least kind of related to the game is fine to link to, but see #policy about posting NSFW content. Feel free to link to sketches or content like that on the page they are relevant to. Latex is a good example Dastardlii (talk) 05:21, 7 June 2018 (CDT)

Spam

Nicer Editor

I've always hated the WYSIWYG editor we were using. I finally decided to install VisualEditor and enable it for everybody. It was a huge pain in the ass to set up, so let me know if you have any issue with it. Also as a note, in case it bothers you, the way VE works, it needs Node.js to work, which our host doesn't offer, so I had to set it up on a separate free host that allows it. So When you save your edits, they will be passing through a heroku server. I doubt anyone carses, but now you know. Dastardlii (talk) 18:04, 12 October 2018 (CDT)
