Overview
Kai is a character in Legend of Queen Opala 2. As the Hero of the story, and the only party character that the player can name, Kai is considered to be the player's main character in the story. In addition to choosing the Hero's name, the player has a choice between four visual appearances for Kai. The choice does not affect gameplay, only the visual effects such as profile picture, sprite, and notebook picture.
Kai and his friend Milana were once part of the Blackeagle Gang. When the gang began to lose the morality it once had, the two left the gang and settled in the area in and around Castle Resteed. While Milana found a house inside the city, Kai paid a steep price and bought land outside the city walls. At some point, he befriended Zhu'Yen, and the two began relying on each other to survive in the face of Kross' extortions.
Legend of Queen Opala 2
At the start of Legend of Queen Opala 2, we find Kai talking with Milana as they walk back to his house. Soon after, he visits Zhu'Yen and witnesses a Shadow Spike strike. When he goes to investigate, he finds Opala and rescues her from Altum and the Egyptian Guards. He then travels with Opala, gathering a party of characters along the way, to find Farah, stop Osira, and return Opala to Egypt.
Skills/Skills
Kai's battle skills are primarily fighting oriented, with spells for both attacking enemies and increasing STR/ATK of party members. While Kai does learn skills and spells by the traditional 'level up' method, it is also possible for him to learn additional spells and skills by drinking Mystery Potions, available by completing the Alchemist's quests.

Equipment
Equipping the various party members with upgraded equipment allows the characters to survive for longer and deal more damage. Therefore, knowing the types of equipment each character can use is important. Each character also has an elemental theme, allowing elemental upgrades to their equipment. Below are the types that are compatible with Kai.
- Weapon: Sword, Cutlass
- Sub Arms: Armlet
- Head: Helm
- Body: Armor, Plate
- Upgrades: Fire
Chrono
Chrono is the main character's long lost pet. At the beginning of the game the player can choose whether Chrono is a cat or a dog.
Kai finds Chrono again during a side-quest searching for a lost little girl in Grand Aideen. He has the option of changing its name and giving it away to the little girl.
